Detailed course itinerary
Learning how to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in Guadalajara, Mexico, will help you to immerse yourself in the local culture and prepare you for any new cultural aspects a TEFL job can bring.
Your TEFL course will be taught by experienced, qualified and passionate teachers who will ensure you receive constant support during your course and after by providing lifelong job guidance and guaranteeing job placements within Mexico to all students who successfully complete the course.
Although this intensive TEFL course will be hard work, you will also find it to be exciting and extremely rewarding as your TEFL qualification will provide you with the opportunity to travel and experience many new countries and cultures after your course has finished.
Suitability
- You will be required to have a standard of education equivalent to university entry requirements
- This is an intensive TEFL course and suitable for highly motivated learners
- Minimum age 21
- You must be highly competent in English as you must be prepared to teach a range of levels and complete the necessary written assignments

Start Days
- Classes start on selected dates throughout the year
- Your TEFL course will last for a total of 4 weeks
Class Schedule
- Your TEFL classes will run daily from Monday to Friday each week, weekends are free
- Classes start at 9am each day and finish at 6.15pm
- 9am – 1pm: Input sessions covering grammar, phonetics, teaching skills and classroom management
- 1 – 2pm: Lunch
- 2 – 4pm: Guided lesson preparation time
- 3.15 – 6.15pm: Class observation or teaching practice
Home Work
- Although weekends and evenings are free, as the TEFL course is an intensive one, you will need to set aside time to prepare for the next day’s classes and complete additional homework required in order to successfully pass the course which will guarantee you job placement in Mexico
Free Time
- A host of optional activities are offered throughout the week such as salsa lessons, ceramic crafts, guitar lessons and karaoke nights free of charge
- During the summer months the school offers City Walking Tours visiting Guadalajara’s beautiful and historic buildings
- There are a variety of weekend excursions you can take part in such as visits to Tequila, The National Stone, the largest lake in the country and many more
Pre-course Assignments
- Once you have successfully enrolled on the course you will be asked to complete a series of pre-course assignments before you start the course
- Please note that these assignments are not mandatory but will help you to get a better understanding of the TEFL course and will not count towards your final grade
- We highly recommend you complete these assignments to help prepare yourself for this intensive TEFL course to help you get the most from your time in Mexico
Optional Accommodation and Free Pick Up Service
