As a beginner; choosing to combine Italian lessons in Sorrento, Italy with Italian cooking and pizza making lessons is the best way to accelerate your learning experience.

Your Italian language lessons will be taught by highly qualified native Italian speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven teaching techniques.
Three afternoons a week, be prepared to don your apron for your hands-on cooking and pizza making lessons. On one day you’ll learn to cook a typical 3 course Italian meal and on the other two days, join a famous pizza chef to learn the art of traditional Neapolitan pizza making on this unique learning holiday.

Start Days
- Classes start on Mondays and run in the winter & spring months
Class Schedule
Italian language classes
- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week
- Classes start at 9am each day
- You will have 4 group classes per day lasting 60 minutes each
- You will have a short mid morning coffee break
Italian cooking and pizza making lessons
- Cooking lessons will be take place 3 afternoons during the week
- Specific times will be arranged on arrival at the language school
- One day you’ll visit a local villa in Sorrento to learn to cook a full Italian meal in a traditional Italian kitchen
- On two afternoons, you’ll visit a famous local pizza restaurant to learn to cook pizza with a professional pizza chef
- At the end of each cooking lesson you will eat the food that has been prepared during the lesson
What Will I Learn?
Italian Lessons
- The language lessons are highly interactive and you will speak Italian from day 1, both inside and outside of the classroom.
- You’ll focus on the four main language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing
- Your friendly and professional Italian teachers will teach in Italian to quickly develop your language skills
Italian Cooking
- During your cooking lessons you will learn about the history of Italian cuisine with a specific focus on Neapolitan specialities
- You’ll cook a traditional 3 course Italian meal learning to make fresh pasta, antipasti and a typical meat or fish dish
- The cooking class is taught by an Italian chef in a traditional Italian kitchen
- You will enjoy the food you have prepared with the chef over a glass of Italian wine
Pizza Making
- Your professional pizza chef will teach you how to make pizza bases from scratch
- You’ll learn to make the sauces and how to combine ingredients for the toppings
- Taught by a professional pizza chef in his famous local pizza restaurant in Sorrento
- You will enjoy the pizzas you have prepared with the chef and your fellow would-be cooks
Level Test
- Please arrive at the school by 8.30am on your first day for a short level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level
Free Time in Sorrento
- The school offers a host of optional cultural activities and lectures throughout the week
- At the end of the school day, the teachers are happy to take students out for coffee
- Optional excursions can easily be arranged to Capri, Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast
- You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax on this learning holiday with a difference

- We recommend you bring a small dictionary with you
- Italian classes may be given by different tutors during your course in order to help you get used to different accents
Compulsory Extras
- Please note that this school charges a compulsory course enrolment fee, this is not included in the price and will be charged as an extra during the booking process
