About the school
Learn to cook delicious and authentic Portuguese dishes in the Alentejo region of Portugal that stretches from the Tagus River near Lisbon all the way south to the Algarve.
This Portuguese cooking school is situated in a traditional villa manor house that was built in 1834. Retaining it's rustic charm, this elegant villa boasts a traditional Portuguese kitchen that opens out onto the courtyard overlooking the surrounding countryside.
You'll also select vegtables and herbs from the villa's gardens to use in your dishes.

Due to the rural location, we recommend guests hire a car.
The cooking school is located in a rural villa in the village of Portel which lies East of Lisbon close to the border with Spain. The distance from Lisbon to Portel is 170km and the journey by car will take approximately 2 hours.
