WHERE?
Carbon-neutral eco-chic retreat in the unspoilt Parque Natural Sierra María-Los Vélez, in southern Spain.

WHAT’S IT LIKE?
Tutor and guide Simon – a graduate of Fine Art from Manchester School of Art, as well as postgraduate at The Royal Academy Schools in London – takes you out to the beauty spots and helps you tune into your creative side whether you’re a beginner or a rusty old hand. Pro artists also take up residence and are generally happy to discuss materials and techniques.

HOW LONG?
Three nights, four days.

WHAT ELSE IS THERE?
There’s not much in the park apart from you, birds and butterflies. Almeria has a Moorish castle, a fortress-like cathedral and the biggest naturist beach in Europe called El Playazo.

HOW MUCH? £297 full board. Non-painting partners get a special rate to share the room.
Not including flights to Malaga.
