This luxury tropical island yoga and cookery holiday in Phang Nga bay in Thailand offers an experience like no other with outstanding Thai cuisine and rejuvenating yoga in an area of natural beauty.

Yoga and cooking are perfectly complementary; on this course you will improve your yoga skills as well as learning to create delicious fresh meals in the al fresco beach front kitchen. Your daily yoga practice will help you improve focus, breathing control, balance, stamina and physical strength leaving you refreshed and rejuvenated.

You will stay in a luxury boutique retreat with spa overlooking the emerald Phang Nga bay, a haven of tranquillity and tropical beauty. Considered a hidden gem, this is an idyllic island retreat to escape the crowds and enjoy the magnificent views.

Nestled into the hillside of the bay, Phang Nga is surrounded by lush rainforests. You will have 3 Thai cookery master classes over the week. Here, with your friendly and enthusiastic chef, you will use locally grown herbs, spices and fresh produce to create 3 different dishes each day. Learning the art of famous Thai cuisine revered worldwide for its exotic range of dishes and spectacular flavours.

The cookery will be combined with daily morning vinyasa flow style yoga with your tutor Erin in the custom designed beach sunrise studio on the shore of the bay. This yoga and cookery holiday also includes 4 x 90 minute body treatments of your choice in the stunning spa to ensure you are completely rejuvenated, refreshed and relaxed.

Solos Holiday?
- This holiday is suitable for solo travellers but please note that there are no set dates for this holiday so it is unlikely you will be with other solo travellers during the week
- Please note that shared rooms for singles are not offered on this holiday so you must pay a single supplement
- Prices are based on 2 people sharing a room and bathroom

- A non-participating partner is welcome to share a double room with someone on the course for a reduced price

- Courses run throughout the year and are for 7 nights / 8 days
- Yoga and cookery classes start on day 2

Cookery And Yoga Holiday Itinerary
Please note that the itinerary is for guidance only and may change week to week:
- Each morning you’ll enjoy an energising yoga session at around 8.30am
- You will then have a delicious full buffet breakfast at the resort
- Around 1pm you will set off for around a 2 hour cookery lesson
- After your cookery session you will sit together to enjoy the delicious food you have prepared and the fun atmosphere
- In the afternoons you will also have free time to relax
- Yoga classes start on the morning of day 2 and continue to your departure day on day 8 depending on your departure time
- You will have 3 cookery sessions throughout your stay
- You will typically cook for 2 hours at a time and your exact schedule will be confirmed on arrival
- You will also have 1 private yoga class during the week

What Will I Learn?
- There are a number of yoga teachers at the retreat so you can expect a wide variety of teaching during your stay
- Their teaching styles are influenced by Hatha, Ecstatic Dance, Breath Work, Mantra, Meditation and Kundalini Yoga
- You will focus on foundation yoga postures that emphasize the principles of stretching, balance, deep breathing and focus

- Cooking courses concentrate on the cuisine of the region: including vegetarian, fresh seafood and many delicious sauces and traditional Thai condiments
- You’ll learn the secrets of Thai cooking and will use many ingredients grown in the local area

Your Yoga Instructors
- Your teacher has many years of experience in yoga and is internationally trained and accredited
- Dr Abhilasha Agrawal, born in India, is not only a highly-skilled yoga facilitator but also a Doctor of Naturopathy
- She is the resident yoga teacher at the retreat and an expert of health and wellness
- Abhilasha is also a qualified physical therapist and is available for private consultations on all aspects of your health, such as physiology and nutrition
- Her philosophy is to teach yoga from a holistic lifestyle perspective, she teaches her  students the art of meditation, correct breathing and relaxation
- Anyone who participates in Abhilasha’s classes or consultations will be blessed in the company of a very special spirit
- Dr. Abhilasha Agrawal’s yoga teaching style is integrative, but mostly hatha yoga.

About Your Chefs
- You will be taught by either Chef Tui & Chef Ead
- Both orginating from Thailand they have a wealth of knowledge and are experts on Thai cuisine 
-The classes are also a great opportunity to discover more about thailand, koh yao, thai cooking and the thai way of life from your local chef experts
- Tui and Ead are both exceptional professional chefs and have extensive chef experience
- Your chefs use local Thai ingredients, flavour, colour and texture innovatively along with creative and thoughtful presentation
- The Chefs love of cooking and teaching is something you will find in their enthusiastic and patient teaching manner
- Classes are informal and fun and you will cook on the beach front kitchen enjoying wonderful sea views as your prepare some delicious Thai dishes

Accommodation And Spa
- The hotel where you’ll stay is a unique blend of boutique beach resort and health spa
- With studios and villas nestled into the hillside of the resorts own private bay and surrounded by lush tropical rainforest, the resort truly is an oasis of tranquillity and the perfect setting for your yoga and cookery holiday
- You’ll spend 7 nights/8 days in an elegantly furnished superior studio with a king-size bed
 - Each studio boasts a lovely private sala living area on the balcony with a swing overlooking the tropical gardens (some rooms have a partial view of the bay)
- Rooms are equipped with Satellite TV with international channels, mini-stereo, tea and coffee facilities, cotton bathrobe and slippers, fruit and flowers and bottled water
- The resort has a wonderful pool, restaurant and tropical spa offering Thai massage, hot stone therapy, facials, reflexology and more
- The retreat is also located within short walking distance of local amenities
- Yoga lessons take place on-site on the beach front Yoga studio
- Prices are based on 2 people sharing a Superior Studio room
- If you are travelling solo private rooms must be booked for a supplement, which can be added during the booking process

- Superior Studio (base price) - 54 square meters of living space, open sala living area with swing, views over the resort (some rooms with partial view of Phang Nga Bay)
- Jacuzzi Studio - your own private jacuzzi, 56 square meters of living space, views over the resort , and open sala living area
- Jacuzzi Deluxe - private deck, private jacuzzi, 62 square meters of living space, views over Phang Nga Bay, and open sala living area
- Pool Villa - directly on the beach with private access to the beach, private pool, private jacuzzi, 91 square meters of living space and extensive outdoor living area with private bar, views over Phang Nga Bay and a tropical semi-outdoor bathroom with private shower

- Check-in is anytime after 2pm on arrival day and check out by 12pm on your departure day

- Breakfast is included each morning at the resort and is full buffet style with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes, fresh tropical fruits and juices
- All other meals are at your own expense and can be taken at the resort restaurant or there are other restaurants to choose from outside of the resort

The Food You Have Prepared
- You will enjoy the delicious food you have prepared in the company of your fellow chefs after the cooking class
- On the 3 days of your cookery classes you will dine "Al Fresco" in the restaurant located right on the beach with additional seating in the sand under the shade of palms and coconut trees

Optional Dinners
- The resort has three excellent beach front restaurants serving a wide range of appetizing Thai and Mediterranean dishes
- You can choose from a variety of seafood dishes, a vegetarian menu, tasty starters, freshly squeezed tropical juices and real Italian ice cream
- Breads and muffins are baked fresh each morning and most of our desserts, sauces and spreads are handmade
- Using only fresh organic produce and having master chefs at your disposal, you will dine from a delicious and decidedly health conscious menu

Free Time In Koh Yao Or More Yoga
- Please note this package includes a transfer for a swimming and snorkelling excursion to the nearby Koh Pak Bia Island where you’ll be able to snorkel with some wonderful tropical fish (National Park entrance fees at your own cost)
- There is also plenty of free time between classes to explore the delights of this beautiful island or to simply relax around the resort and treat yourself to a nurturing massage
- Recreation options include mountain biking and kayaking, scuba diving and rock climbing
- If you wish to do more yoga, evening classes are also available and can be booked and paid for locally (at a special price of 600 Baht per class)

What To Bring
- Yoga mats are provided but you are more than welcome to bring your own
- Please bring comfortable clothing you can move in easily for your yoga practice and your cookery
- It can be hot in the summer months so please bring clothing that will be suitable for practicing in hot weather

Spa Treatments And Massages
- This course includes 4 x 90 minute body treatments of your choice during the week
- If you wish to book additional treatments, the spa is open daily and offers a wide choice of treatments including reflexology, hot stone therapy, facials and more
- All other treatments can be booked and paid for locally
- You also have unlimited use of the herbal steam room

- Most nationalities need a visa to enter Thailand, which for UK Citizens are issued on arrival for up to 30 days stay (15 days if arriving overland) please check passport requirements with the embassy as unfortunately we cannot give visa advice
