This gorgeous sea side house will be your home for this unique 6 night mosaics holiday, allowing you to relax, take in some ancient sites and traditional markets, all the while perfecting your mosaic making skills.

As well as learning the fundamentals of mosaic making, this holiday is a real opportunity to simply relax and live at a seaside pace while experiencing the rich local culture.

It’s focus is to bring out your artistic side, while indulging your wellbeing with delicious fresh food, and time to relax by the private beach or pool. You will be guided on excursions that will give you a feel for this bohemian paradise, where it is not uncommon to find yourself surrounded by sailors, travellers, artists and fishermen among the locals.

The sites of the thousand year old villages and small towns will without doubt give you limitless inspiration for your mosaic piece. Prior to your arrival, your tutor and host, Ingi, will discuss with you what type of piece and of what size you would like to complete on your holiday, so you know what to pack for and what to expect to accomplish. She will be with you every step of the way on this luxury creative, cultural, and beach side holiday.

You will have a bright, airy, spacious room that overlooks the sea that is spotted by island and boats; and will always be steps away from your beach lounger that awaits you. You will have everything you need from WiFi to toiletries, even a beach bag, to use during the trip. You can keep your packing as minimal as you like and expect to be well looked after.

Travelling Solo?
- This holiday makes a great singles holiday as there are no single supplements
- Courses have a maximum of 4 people in each group and singles are very welcome as you'll meet others with a passion for creativity


Mosaic Holiday Start Days
- This holiday starts every Sunday from mid May to mid October
- Mosaic holidays are for 6 nights / 7 days
- If you wish to stay for extra nights, please email to check availability for your preferred duration and we will do our best to accommodate you
- All holidays are on request so please email us hello@golearnto.com and we’ll check availability for your preferred day of arrival as quickly as possible


Holiday Itinerary
The itinerary is for guidance only and is subject to change depending on the group’s needs and wishes but is typically as follows:

Day 1 - Sunday - Arrival
- You will be meet at the airport and taken to your accommodation
- There will be time to settle in before meeting the other guests over welcome drinks
- A group welcome dinner will be prepared at the house

Days 2 - 6
- After a delicious leisurely breakfast, your mosaic course will start around 9:30 followed - A light lunch will be served at the villa
- In the afternoon, you will head out with Ingi for an excursion, continue working on your mosaic or you will have time to simply relax on the private beach or by the pool
- In the evening, you will have time to relax before dinner at the villa
- Please note: dinner is not included on 2 nights, giving you the opportunity to try out the local restaurants

Your excursions throughout the week include:
One afternoon in Bodrum (with dinner there which is not included in the price), one afternoon in Gumusluk, a nearby fishing village (with dinner there which is not included in the price), one afternoon in Yalikavak (the village near your accommodation) where you’ll also visit the local market

Day 7 - Saturday - Departure
- You will have breakfast, lunch and dinner and prepare to leave depending on your departure time


Your Mosaic Tutor And Host
- Born in Antwerp, Belgium, your host, Ingri, has a degree in Business Administration and a diploma in Interior Design
- She discovered mosaics in 2007 and learned from a Bodrum artist, integrating mosaic art in with her interior design projects
- Mosaics became a passion and Ingi continues creating her own pieces, as well as working with the London School of Mosaics (former Southbank Mosaics) as a tutor and volunteering with them when in London in the winter
- Ingi has lived and worked in many countries such as France, Germany, Switzerland, UK, and settled in 2007 between both Turkey and London
- Your host is fluent in 7 languages
- Ingi’s goal as your host is to respect your needs and privacy and for you to feel at home, as well as to help you create beautiful artwork and lots of great memories to take back home with you


What Will I Learn?
- Ingi will work with you to complete a mosaic design of your choice from start to finish
- She will be showing you mosaic techniques & applications, as well as how to cut and use different materials and combine colours & design
- You will learn how to fix, grout and finish your mosaic so you can take it home
- At the end of the course, as a beginner you will have a good knowledge of mosaic making and hopefully continue to create your very own artwork
- Advanced guests have the opportunity to create their artwork inspired by stunning surroundings
- Although each guest will work on their individual piece, you’ll work together as a group, enjoying and sharing a beautiful craft in a non-competitive way


What To Bring
- Feel free to bring personal items only; it is possible to travel with just a carry on that will fit your art piece and personal belongings
- Some spending money for a few meals out and for your free time
- Toiletries, beach towels, beach bags, sun lotions, etc, are available at the house


Accommodation
- Your ocean side house for the week is part of a larger residential development without traffic, pollution or tourists; very peaceful and very safe
- This holiday focuses on cultural excursions, relaxation, and 20 hours of mosaic time where you will have 1 on 1 guidance in addition to all materials
- The house is raised with unobstructed 180 degree views of the bay and the islands
- There are 2 comfortable bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) with direct sea views and 2 seperate bathrooms
- The accommodation also includes a cozy lounge area and a large balcony with stunning views
- Just a short walk downstairs and you’ll be at the private beach and pool, exclusively for the residents of the development
- There is also a tennis court and free WiFi at the house
- All linen, beach towels and toiletries included
- Please note: the house is not suitable for people with walking disabilities, wheelchair users and very small children
- If you are allergic to cats, please be aware that they do get regular visitors
- Smoking is allowed in all outdoor areas


Meals
- A full breakfast using fresh local ingredients will be served to you on the terrace overlooking the sea each morning
- Lunches will be provided daily by your host using beautiful locally sourced food
- 4 evening dinners will also be included
- 2 evening meals will be taken out and will NOT be included in the price of the holiday
- All non-alcoholic soft drinks, juices, water, coffee & tea, fruits, and snacks at the house throughout the day
- Special diets will be catered for with advance notice but please do request this at the time of booking


Free Time In Bodrum
- During your free time enjoy the picturesque private beaches and pool which are right on your doorstep
- If there is a new activity or excursion you would like to try, your host Ingi would be more than happy to help you arrange it and give you some suggestions
