Go learn to create your own signature scent on this 2 hour ‘Rose of May’ perfumery course in the perfume capital of the World, Grasse, France.
The perfume school has been creating perfumes for over 250 years following the same traditions as its founder, Jean de Galimard who created the first perfumes for the King of Spain back in 1747.
Learn how to make perfume as you compose the base, heart and top notes of your own perfume choosing from over 140 different essences under the guidance of a Creation Master.
Your creation will be presented to you in a beautiful French crafted vaporizer bottle in either silver or gold, along with a sheer pouch and a choice of customised labels.

- Minimum age 8 (under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult)
Perfume Course Start Days
- Courses run daily throughout the year
Perfume Class Schedule
- Classes start at 10am or 2pm each day
- Each class lasts approximately 2 hours
- At the end of the class, toast your creation with a complimentary glass of champagne
Perfume Creation Process
- You will spend most of the 2 hours at your workspace
- There will be 1 Creation Master for every group of students to guide you
- Choosing from 140 essences (natural and a small amount of synthetics), you will design your own signature scent
Ingredients Used
- 140 essences are available to choose from
- These essences are classified in 14 olfactive families, and in top notes/heart notes/base notes
- They are compositions of several ingredients, all created by our Parfumeur to allow for harmonious blends
Other Information
- You will have the chance to buy additional products at factory prices in the shop
- This course includes a 100ml French crafted vaporizer bottle of your own signature Eau de Parfum
- Your unique formula will be registered and kept in a confidential data bank and may be re-ordered at your convenience
Perfume Factory Tour
- The perfume factory is open all day and available for you to visit and take a guided tour either before or after your perfume lesson
- The tours are available in English and are free on charge
- The factory is around 300mts from where you'll have your lesson and the walk is quite steep
- You are welcome to wander over for the tour at your leisure
- Please note: the perfume factory is closed daily between 12-2pm
