Whatever your level; learning Portuguese in Brazil is the best way to accelerate your learning experience.
Your language lessons will be taught by highly qualified native Portuguese speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven teaching techniques.
Lessons are highly interactive and you will speak Portuguese from day 1 both inside and outside of the classroom. Focusing on the four main language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, each day will see you increasing in confidence.
Your Capoeira course is taught by qualified teachers and over the 2 lessons you'll learn the theoretical as well as practical aspects of this acrobatic Brazilian martial art.

Who Are Our Guests?
- People come from all over the world and you’ll never be placed in a class with just English speakers so that you use the language you are learning rather than resorting to chatting in English
- Ages vary, but the typical language learner falls in to the 20-60 age bracket though we have no age limit and we’ve had guests in their 70s and 80s studying languages with us
- During the summer and in university holiday times the average age typically drops and there are many guests in their 20s
- Over 90% of our language learners travel solo and every school organises social and cultural activities to help you get to know others at the school outside of class
- Of course, everyone shares a passion or interest in discovering a new language and culture
Start Days
- Classes start on Mondays and run on various dates throughout the year
- Your Capoeira lessons will take place on Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm
What Will I Learn?
- Whatever your level of Portuguese, this course will really help to develop your linguistic skills not only in class but also outside of the classroom as you practice your Portuguese each day both with your course mates as well as in your Capoeira classes
- You will learn the Brazilian fight-dance of Capoeira; from the music and rhythm to the theoretical and practical aspects
Free Time
- The school offers cultural activities such as cooking and Samba dance classes (some with small charge)
- Weekend excursions such as: surf lessons, scuba diving, bike tours can also be booked
- Free internet access
- You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax by the beach
Class Schedule
- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week
- Language classes start at 9am and run to 12:30pm each day
- You will have 4 group language lessons per day lasting 50 minutes each
- A short break will be taken between each class
- You will have Capoeira lessons in 2 afternoons each week
Language Level Test
- Please arrive at the school by 8.30am on your first day for a short level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level
Optional Extras
- This school offers transfers to and from the airport for an additional charge; you can book transfers during the booking process
- This school offers optional accommodation
Other Information
- We recommend you bring a small dictionary with you
- Please have comfortable clothes and shoes for the Capoeira lesson
Compulsory Extras
- Please note that this school charges a compulsory enrolment fee, this is not included in the price and will be charged as an extra during the booking process
