Literally – over the moon

Jonathan
As I write I am sitting on a plane packed with freezing Spaniards having just taken off on my next adventure – to spend 5 months in Valladolid in the heart of Spain. Memories are flooding back of the previous day and my last at GoLearnTo.com where I leave behind a plethora of hard work, commitment and what is surely a Guinness world record in tea drinking.

‘Inspirational’ is not a word that should be used lightly, but GoLearnTo.com has this in abundance. From the moment I first walked through the front door I experienced the warmth of the people, the hard working and quick thinking atmosphere; not to mention a master class in delivering excellent customer service.

I spent my first days adding new material to the website, contributing to discussions about new creative ideas, learning about SEO, SMO & PPC, and preparing for the event that everyone had been looking forward to – Destination Show 2011.

During the event, we raked in the crowds and made our stand amongst the most visited of the entire show – and in case you were wondering, yes we still managed to keep our tea drinking standards up with a cheeky cup here and there. This has to be one of the highlights of my journey with GoLearnTo and one where I feel I truly showed what I am made of. This, I will remember this for the rest of my life.

To anyone reading with an eye to applying for an internship with GoLearnTo.com I can only say that if you have a hard-working attitude, a thirst to learn, and a passion for travel then you need not look much further. Competition for a place is high but if you are successful you will gain a fascinating insight into one of the most vibrant and exciting companies in the industry today.

I truly have too much information and too many memories to fit into one small blog but there does remain one last testament to be paid:

As this last paragraph will be my final contribution to GoLearnTo, I would like to use it to thank my colleagues from the bottom of my heart. You have each made me feel at home from the moment I arrived and you have given me a more valuable and enjoyable experience than I ever could have dreamed or imagined. I have made some friends for life and I will keep in touch throughout the months and years to come.

Thank you for the gifts, the card, and the pint sized mug that I am so badly wishing was in my possession right now!
Cheers!

p.s. Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about the man that couldn’t comprehend that you could combine a holiday with an activity; I still think about it and chuckle to myself every day. . .
