Yoga in Fuerteventura – the ultimate escape

P1030416Sue Fish of Surrey doesn’t normally book holidays online.

She usually prefers to organise her solo travel holidays independently. But this month she decided to try something different and headed to our yoga and meditation holiday in Fuerteventura. We get the feeling she enjoyed it…

“Fantastic holiday, friendly helpful staff, a wonderful mix of yoga styles and teachers, beautiful relaxing location!”

Why GoLearnTo.com?

“It was so easy and they came across as trustworthy, which is really important when booking online. I appreciated the way we can pay the deposit upon booking and settle the balance a month before the holiday. I found the website very professional, simple and transparent. After booking I received direct and friendly emails from the supplier as well, which put me at ease – it was a seamless process.”

The yoga and meditation holiday was Sue’s first real holiday in three years. She wanted to do something for herself, and the yoga retreat was “just perfect”.

“For anyone travelling alone, there’s no need to have any qualms about it. The fact that it’s a yoga holiday meant we were all there for the same reason, we all had something in common and got on really well.”

So what were the other people at the retreat like?

“Everyone was so friendly, both staff and clients alike. They were a lovely group of people and it was very relaxing. We went out for meals together, shared experiences, and we’re going to stay in touch.”

If you go on holiday to do something you enjoy doing, it’s inevitable you’ll meet like-minded people there.

“I hadn’t done yoga for about 17 months so I was out of practice but the teachers were really supportive and you go at your own level. The yoga teacher made such an impression on all of us. And yoga on the beach was wonderful – especially welcoming the sunrise with the sun salutation!  The beaches are stunning, the longer you’re there the more you tune into the beauty, peace and quiet.”

Any other highlights?

“It’s hard to pick out one highlight. I really enjoyed the massage from Adele, I even booked an extra session with her. I’ve had regular massages before and she was top notch. The breakfasts served by the cheerful staff set you up for the day, and the vegetarian dinner laid on by the villa was extremely tasty and healthy.”

“If you are wondering whether to go or not, I would recommend to just book it, you won’t regret it!”

If you’re looking to escape to sun, yoga, the beach, great food and lovely people then this retreat for you.  And the best thing about Fuerteventura is it doesn’t get cold – making it an ideal winter escape!
