Read on to get a glimpse into the day of the life of Antonella…

I always start the day preparing breakfast, from local cheeses and cold meats, freshly baked bread and jams I’ve made and Italian coffee – of course.

Then usually I will head to the local butcher and green grocers, I love picking out the freshest local ingredients to work with and catching up with the locals in the village.

Later in the day I will chat with guests, bake bread in our wood fire oven for the following breakfast, and if we need more I’ll make jam or marmalade. Sometimes I’ll make limoncello or amaretto, it’s really easy to do, fun and delicious! I might pick flowers and figs and plums from the garden for the house.

In the afternoons we do the cooking classes which are always a highlight and then we sit down to have dinner together and get to know each other better, share recipes and chat.

When we don’t have guests my husband Philip and I often have friends over for lunch and dinner, I love sharing food and cooking is a way of expressing myself. We like to eat in the garden or courtyard.

We go for long walks, there’s some really great walking tracks around us and we love to get outdoors. In the afternoons I usually experiment with new recipes and study new recipes.

We also have an apartment in London so when we don’t have guests we will go there. I love going to the art galleries in London and because I prefer to cook at home we’ll go out for dinner.

We love our lifestyle and we love sharing it with others, it’s such a rewarding experience and we wouldn’t change a thing.
