My internship with GoLearnTo.com

Elena
Are you passionate about the Travel Industry? Are you eager to learn about various aspects of a successful online business? Do you enjoy working in a small, friendly and tight-knit team? Well then, an Internship with GoLearnTo.com is exactly what you need to gain valuable working skills and give your CV a substantial boost!

I’ve always been interested in the Travel and Tourism industry, so when I saw the GoLearnTo.com advert on www.enternships.com which invites individuals to gain work experience in the field of travel, I simply could not miss it! After a successful interview and a couple of days I was headed to ‘GoLearnTo Towers’ in North London to embark upon my fascinating internship with Vanessa, and the team. Now I’m at the end of my internship and my 6 weeks here have flown by in an instant! During my time here I have been busy dealing with customers and colleagues from the schools around the world, updating the content of the website, and writing blog posts on various topics. The best parts have been drooling over all the amazing cookery holidays GoLearnTo offer (I want to go on one!) and chatting with the friendly team over a cup of tea. So I didn’t notice how quickly the time has gone by.

One of my key responsibilities was working on GoLearnTo.com Blog project, which required me to change the category structure of the blog to make it more user-friendly and to re-organise the content and write new posts. As I have never worked with WordPress, it was such an interesting task, and now I feel a lot more confident in my blogging and IT skills.

As online marketing and SEO tools are becoming such an important part of the today’s market place, it was a fantastic opportunity that Vanessa – our inspiring and extremely knowledgeable CEO – took her time to explain the main online marketing techniques to me. Now I have not only a better understanding of this subject but also the confidence to use it in the future (great CV boosting skill, don’t you think?!).

Throughout the whole internship I was treated as a part of a team, where I was given responsibility and where my opinion counted.  The GoLearnTo team were always ready to help and answer all my questions, so I was never left alone wondering how and what to do.

I am very happy with my work experience with GoLearnTo.com, I’ve learnt a lot about the online travel agency business, various stunning destinations and courses that are just out there waiting for me to visit, and lots, lots more. I’ve improved my organisational, communicational and computer skills, and met amazing people with whom it was a pleasure to work. So if you I haven’t sold it to you enough and you are still considering whether to apply or not, just do it!

Many thanks to Vanessa and GoLearnTo.com team for making my internship so memorable!

I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

P.S.  I still have to make my mind on the course I want to take (Photography and yoga? Painting? Silversmithing course?) . Well, when I do, I will definitely give you a call 🙂
