The best birthday present – cooking in Lake Garda

IMG_5900Since making the move from Australia to Swizterland, James hasn’t been cooking as much as he’d like to. So this year his wife Maureen bought him our cooking holiday in Lake Garda for his birthday.

“We had such a great weekend. She booked it for us as a present, she found it so easy when she booked with you, from making the booking to getting the information.”

Maureen decided to do her own thing while James did the cooking course so booked in as a non-participating partner.

What was the course like?

I wasn’t sure what it would be like, whether it would be more watching or taking part but it was really hands-on which was great.

Chef Andrea is a really interesting guy, I learnt more about making pasta and the whole experience was very rewarding. The location is ideal as well; it’s such a lovely restaurant with a view over the lake.Italian_cookery_holiday_Lake_Garda_-_Lake_Garda_coast

We did smoked sea bass, different types of pasta, ricotta cheese and crème brulee – it was my first cooking course and it was great.

How was the accommodation and the location?

The weather was great we were lucky. We were really impressed with the hotel too. Lake Garda is a fantastic spot, I’d like to go back to this cookery school.  They have such a special restaurant – based on fresh produce.
