Italian Cooking Holiday

Veneto, Venice, Italy

About the school

Tastefully restored to a high specification whilst retaining the original rustic charm, this beautiful countryside house 50km north of Venice is the setting for your Italian cookery holiday.

Bordered to the north by the spectacular Dolomites, to the east by the Adriatic, and to the west by Lake Garda, the village of Cison di Valmarino where you’ll stay is a beautiful location in which to learn to cook.

Your host and chef Antonella is passionate about taking her guests on a culinary and cultural journey to discover Italy’s best kept secret. She learned to cook like all good Italian’s do from her mama and has also studied other cuisines, including Indian, Chinese, Thai and Mexican.

Antonella’s philosophy is that food is central to life and believes that meals should be full of flavour, beautifully presented, and not too difficult to prepare and her aim is to teach you to be boldly creative and cook with confidence as well as to discover all the region has to offer.

You’ll stay in guest rooms within Antonella’s home that she shares with her husband and son. Your room will be in the guest area of a beautifully restored 18th century farmhouse in the heart of the Prosecco wine area.

Cooking classes take place in a beautiful rustic kitchen that is light, airy, and furnished with modern equipment. It also has wonderful views of the castle on the hillside, and is the perfect place in which to learn to cook.
