Bergerac (approx. 1 hour 45 mins away)
You can also fly to Limoges, La Rochelle, Poitiers and Bordeaux (all within 2.5 hour drive)
Pre-booked free return transfers from Bergerac airport or Angoulême train station:
Private transfers to and from either Bergerac airport or Angoulême train station are included in the price. Please contact the photography school with your arrival and departure details to arrange your transfer post-booking.
By Train
Your hosts highly recommended taking the train due to easy access and lovely views. Angoulême is the nearest mainline station (it's less than 30 minutes from the Studio) from where your hosts will happily pick you up at no extra cost.
If you're coming from the UK you could either fly or take the train from Paris, from where you can easily catch the train to the photography school. If you’re going by Eurostar, you can get a direct train from St Pancras International to the Gare du Nord in Paris. You can then easily and cheaply get to Montparnasse station by metro, from where you can buy a ticket all the way through to Angoulême. You can catch the highspeed TGV from Montparnasse Station in Paris which is just 2 hours from Angoulême station. Find all the details you need on the TGV website here: http://www.tgv-europe.com/en
Car Hire
Car hire is recommended if you fly to Limoges, La Rochelle, Poitiers and Bordeaux airports, as it gives you the opportunity to explore the surrounding region before and after your photography classes.
