This cooking holiday experience offers you a taste of Yucatán. Go learn to cook in the home of your Chef in his amazing home for a learning holiday with a difference.
Your day starts with an introduction to Mayan cooking techniques and ingredients before heading off for a guided tour of the local market followed by a hands-on cooking lesson before relaxing at the end of the day eating the delicious Yucatecan food you have cooked.
Originally from the USA, your professional Chef grew up on Tex-Mex dishes and studied a range of cuisines. A trip to Mexico in the 1970’s led him to pursue his passion for the Mayan culture and to focus on Yucatecan cooking.
This Yucatecan Mexican cooking course will take you on both a culinary and cultural journey that will ensure you return home with a new skill and knowledge that will stay with you long after the holiday is over.

Start Days
- Classes run on selected dates throughout the year
- If you can’t find the date you are looking for, please email with your requirements as additional dates can be requested
Market Visit and Cooking Class Schedule
- At 8.30am you will meet at your chef’s home and will enjoy a light breakfast on the terrace
- At 9am you will be given an introduction to Mayan cooking techniques and ingredients
- At 10am you’ll head off with Chef to the local market to buy the food for your cooking class
- At 11.30am you will be back at the house to enjoy a light snack served in the stunning dining room before you begin your cooking classes at noon
- After 3 hours of cooking lessons, you’ll sit down to each the delicious food you have learned to cook together
- Your class ends around 4pm

Minimum Participants
- Please note that in order for this course to operate, a minimum number of 6 persons are required. You may book this course for less than 6 people however should the course minimum not be reached before you are due to arrive, this cooking school reserves the right to offer you an alternative date or if that is not suitable, a full refund. You will be given a minimum of 2 weeks notice of any changes, you can also check the number of participants at the time of paying your balance.
