Holiday itinerary
Slow down to the pace of this small Bedouin coastal resort, a perfect place for you to chill out on this unique diving holiday. Stay for 7 nights, 8 days in the friendly and peaceful setting surrounded by fantastic views of the coast, coral reefs and impressive mountains.
During your 5 day diving course you will see marvellous and fascinating aquatic life, as well as experiencing sensations which are unique to diving such as the incredible feeling of floating weightless. As your experience grows you will also develop your curiosity, excitement and sense of adventure.
In your free time in Dahab you can simply relax, enjoy a massage, take a walk in the desert. Enjoy the rare opportunity to see how the Bedouin have lived for centuries and enjoy a true welcome into a real cultural experience.
On the beachfront and by the pool you will enjoy views of the whole bay, with the stunning scenic mountains behind you. An ideal place to gain the Open Water level you require to visit the underwater world in safety.
Suitability
- You should be a reasonably proficient swimmer, comfortable and relaxed in the water
- Your general health should be good condition, in particular your circulatory and respiratory systems
-Minimum age 18 (if you are under 18 you must be accompanied by an adult)
Travelling Solo?
- These diving holidays make great singles holidays as you can book a private room for a very small single supplement
- There are no possibilities for solo travellers to share a room on this course, which is why the single room supplement is compulsory for all solo travellers.
- Please note that this course is very popular with female solo travellers as Dahab is a very safe location, the teachers are very sociable and may organise group dinners for you to get to know fellow guests and locals
Diving Holiday Start Days
- Courses run year on set dates year round with the exception of August as it can get too hot
- Courses run for 7 nights / 8 days
Class Schedule
- Your daily schedule will start at 9am (for 5 days)
- You will have around 8 hours of tuition each day
What will I be doing?
- Learning about scuba diving safety issues
- You will receive theory lectures on 5 different modules in order to achieve your PADI certificate
- Practical diving exercises in confined water
- You will travel by jeep to nearby dive sites where you will perform 4 open water dives up to depths of 18 metres
Qualification
- On successful completion of this course, you will receive your first PADI open water dive certification
- Children 12-14 years of age will receive a PADI Junior open water dive certification
- This will allow you to dive up to 18 metres
Weather Conditions
- For safety reasons, courses will be completed in sheltered areas of the dive centre in the event of bad weather

About The Accommodation – Bedouin Moon Hotel
- Stay in a simple, friendly hotel with just 29 rooms built on 2 floors set in a peaceful location on its own private beach
- The hotel is a white-washed, traditional-style building set at the base of a mountain about 1km north of the centre of Dahab and also where the diving studio is located
- The en-suite rooms are simple but clean and comfortable and all the rooms have breathtaking views either over the mountains or sea (seaview rooms are charged extra)
- Each room has a small terrace or balcony and en-suite shower and toilet
- Prices are based on 2 sharing a twin/double room with a mountain view and air-conditioning
- Rooms can be upgraded to include a sea-view for a small charge which can be added at the time of booking
- Solo travellers stay in private single rooms, the compulsory supplement for this is to be added at the time of the booking
- Accommodation is included for 7 nights / 8 days
- Check in anytime after 2pm on day 1 and check out by 10am on day 8
- Breakfast is provided at the hotel each day
- Wi-fi is available in all reas including the pool, restaurant, garden and on most balconies and terraces
- All hotels in the area have cats and dogs, however they will never be in the bedrooms
Free Time In Dahab
- During your free time enjoy the hospitality of the picturesque Dahab, wander through its streets, watch locals playing backgammon or smoking hookah pipes
- You can sit by the pool and soak up the sun and stunning views or make the most of the hotel’s private beach
- Dahab is one of the worlds’ most treasured diving destinations with crystal clear water it offers spectacular and challenging dive sites suitable for divers of all levels
- Your hosts will also give you lots of information on what activities are on offer in the local area which include trekking, mountaineering, wind/kite surfing and many excursions
- You can also visit famous Mount Moses and St Katherine’s Monastery
- Why not take a walk in the desert enjoy a dinner or a night with the Bedouin people and turn your reenergising diving holiday into a cultural experience as well
Compulsory Extras
- Please note you will be required to pay for a course manual and RDP (approximately €45), this will be paid in full on arrival at the school
