This picturesque 7 night yoga holiday offers an intimate and uplifting experience with eco-friendly accommodation and a focus on inner development towards a peaceful emotional outlook. The lush rainforest is not only home to rare flora and fauna, but also provides a spiritual haven, where you can unwind and recover from the stress and anxiety of everyday life.

The retreat is designed to maximise guests’ relaxation. The warm and beautiful surroundings are the perfect location for you to practice yoga and return home feeling revived and inspired to improve your lifestyle with inner peace and personal satisfaction in mind.

Each morning before breakfast, you will take part in outdoor yoga and meditation sessions on the beautiful purpose built yoga shala. Practice yoga against the rainforest backdrop, amid the sound of exotic birds and chattering monkeys. Take breakfast on a hillside terrace, enjoying the beautiful Costa Rican morning sun and reflect on the day ahead.

The yoga lodge is really spacious with 5 warmly decorated twin/double rooms all with private bathrooms. You are free to spend the day relaxing in the swimming pool, try out the Jacuzzi or lie around in one of the retreat’s many hammocks to soak up the sun.

The retreat also organises loads of fun and exciting optional excursions for an extra cost including horse-riding, fishing, boat tours and jungle treks so you won’t be stuck for things to do. There are also purpose built treatment rooms offering a range of holistic therapies if you’re looking to pamper yourself during your holiday for an extra cost.

Yoga Holiday Itinerary
The itinerary is for guidance only and is subject to change depending on the group’s needs and wishes but is typically as follows:

Pre-arrival day
- The retreat recommend that you arrive a day before the start of the yoga holiday
- After a long distance flight you can stay in accommodation close to the airport in order to relax and rest, before travelling over to the retreat the next day

Day 1- Thursday
- You will be collected at your accommodation by private taxi bus, arranged by the yoga retreatfor an extra cost (see ‘getting there’ tab for more details)
- The journey to the retreat includes travelling by road and a ferry journey from Punteranas to Paquera
- This journey will take around four and a half hours and cost $80 per person
- This evening you will meet the other guests over an evening meal provided at the retreat

Days 2 - 7 – Friday to Wednesday
- Each morning between 8am–9:30 am, practise yoga on the beautiful outdoor yoga shala
- A delicious buffet breakfast will then be served at the retreat
- You will have plenty of free time to relax, meditate, to unwind during the rest of the morning and afternoon
- On 3 afternoons during the week, you will be given a relaxing yoga and meditation class lasting one hour
- Optional holistic therapies in the purpose built facilities for an extra cost and are the perfect way to unwind during your stay
- Optional excursions are also offered at an extra cost including beach trips, surfing, diving, horse-riding, nature tours & bird watching, boat tours, fishing, shopping and dining
- Most of these optional excursions are led by locals and can be booked in the morning at breakfast
- 3 buffet lunches and 3 buffet dinners will be provided over the week
- On days where lunches and dinners aren’t included, you are encouraged to try authentic Costa Rican cuisine at local restaurants and cafes and a small fee (around 7€) paid locally is charged for transfers to and from the local town
- On Sunday you will go on a guided walk in the stunning retreat surroundings

Day 8 - Thursday
- Today is departure day and you’ll check out of your room after breakfast
- The retreat will organise an optional taxi-bus departing at 8am, taking the 11am ferry for an extra cost

Where Will I Practise Yoga?
- Yoga is usually practiced in the lovely outdoor yoga shala
- This purpose built wooden deck allows you to practice yoga outdoors, amid the sights and sounds of the Costa Rican rain forest
- The yoga shala offers 64 square meters of shaded, tranquil space  for you to practice yoga and meditate, feeling connected to mother nature and the outdoors


About Your Yoga Teachers
- All your lessons will take place with the same teacher, Sara, who is also the general organiser for the week
- She was born in Italy and has lived in Costa Rica for many years
- She speaks fluent Spanish, English and Italian and has a wealth of knowledge about the local area
- Sara has travelled around the world, which has given her great insight to her teaching and life, particularly her experiences of trekking in the Himalayan Mountains in Nepal and through Tibet
- Sara received her initial training in Italy where she completed the FRYOG international teacher training course
- She has also studied in Costa Rica where you received her 200-hours Yoga Alliance certificate
- She specialises in Pre and Post Natal yoga and is qualified in a number of holistic therapies
- She is proud Mum to Emma who is 6 years old and a budding yogi

Treatments / Massages
- The retreat has on site facilities where, for an extra cost, you can book holistic treatments and massage. Prices can range from $30 - $100 depending on your treatment length and requirements
- Treatments include: Therapeutic massage, Shiatsu, reflexology, Thai Yoga massage, aromatherapy using pure essential oils, freshly picked organic Aloe Vera skin treatments, Hopi Ear Candles, transformational Healing Sessions


The Accommodation 
- This intimate yoga retreat has 5 ensuite bedrooms set in flowering gardens within a private jungle reserve
- The retreat is a stone’s throw from the beach, and was purpose built, with the environment and low impact construction practices in mind
- The rooms are spacious and warmly decorated, set on the hillside and fronted with a sitting porch where guests can admire the beautiful flower gardens and enjoy the company of hummingbirds and butterflies
- Each room has a private bathroom, hot shower, mini fridge, room safe and ceiling fan
- The lodge has a wonderful swimming pool, waterfall Jacuzzi, yoga shala and lounge-dining area
- The terraces are ideal for relaxing and practicing yoga and meditation. There are hammocks to relax in and free Wi-Fi all around the property
- The holistic treatment takes places in a purpose build treatment shala on the resort, surrounded by the sounds and beauty of the rainforest. Only natural and organic products are used in the treatments
- A maid service is available for snack and drinks
- Accommodation is included for 7 nights / 8 days
- Check in and check out times are both 12 noon


Meals
- Breakfast is included each morning after your morning yoga session
- Also included in the price are 3 healthy buffet lunches and 3 dinners in the week
- Food is mainly vegetarian but includes some local fresh fish dishes
- Meals are healthy, delicious and locally sourced
- For lunches and dinners not included in the price, you can either have basic meals at the retreat or the retreat can organise transport to and from the local seaside towns at an extra cost
- Costing between 6€ and 8€ return (depending on the town you choose to eat in) the transfers are cheap and the food you can purchase in these towns is delicious, authentic and fresh
- Mal Pais, just a mile from the retreat, is a lovely small seaside town
- The famous town of San Teresa, a little further down the road, is also well worth a meal-time visit
- Special dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice
- Please make us aware of any dietary requirements at the time of booking


Optional Activities

- During your free time you can relax and meditate in the beautiful retreat or take part in a wide range of exciting optional activities
- These activities are to be booked locally, during your stay, at an extra cost and are subject to availability (prices listed below are a guideline only)
- Beach trips and surfing– the lodge is close to famous surfing beaches, where you can take a 2 hour lesson for $50 and scuba diving is also possible
- Horse-riding –the lodge has its own stables and various tours are available to cater for different riding abilities and riding costs $35 for a 2-hour ride
- Nature tours & bird watching - local guides can be booked on an hourly basis for Cabo Blanco Nature reserve, which is adjacent to the retreat property
- Boat tours – watch out for turtles, manta rays, whales and a variety of seabirds and you are welcome to snorkel
- Fishing – local fishermen can be hired to take you out fishing, to try and catch some of the exotic local fish e.g. snapper and mahi-mahi
- These activities are largely led by local guides

- At an extra cost you can be pampered in the holistic treatment room at the retreat, surrounded by the comforting sounds of the rainforest
- Treatment prices range from $30 - $100 per session, depending on the duration and treatment type
