This wonderful yoga retreat offers a unique experience with beautiful beachside accommodation and a focus on complete wellbeing. Take time away from the busy pace of daily life to immerse yourself in this relaxing yoga retreat set on the pristine beaches of Laem Sor.

Dedicated to wellness, this luxury eco-friendly yoga retreat is the perfect place to practise healthy living to ensure you return home relaxed, revived and inspired to continue your day to day life and yoga practise with new found energy and enthusiasm.
 
Start the day with guided breath work followed by a reviving Ashtanga yoga session in the light and spacious yoga shala and enjoy the calm and focus of breath work and restorative yoga again each evening. The friendly and relaxed environment and experience of your yoga teachers will allow you to unwind during your stay in this tropical paradise and make the most of your yoga tuition.

Accommodation is set in eco-friendly accommodation tailored to allow you the utmost comfort during your stay. Your private balcony overlooks the meditation garden and the beach, you will also have easy access to the wellness centre and treatment rooms, the herbal steam room, saltwater swimming pool and a restaurant that serves delicious vegetarian cuisine and the juice bar.

Enjoy the flexibility of a yoga retreat that gives you plenty of free time to relax by the beach or to enjoy the range of activities which include long walks, evening meditation, Thai massage, wellness treatments and more.

- Yoga retreats are suitable for all levels from complete beginners to advanced yogis
- Minimum age 18 for the yoga classes
- For your health and environment, the yoga retreat is a smoke and alcohol free area


Travelling With Children?
- Please note that if you are travelling with children, babysitting and child friendly kids club areas are located at the end of the retreat far enough from the practice areas and rooms to ensure guests are not disturbed, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and special under 18’s yoga classes are available on request


Travelling Solo?
- This yoga retreat make a great singles holiday as you can share a twin room with another guest of the same sex (subject to availability) for no extra charge, alternatively private single rooms are available for a supplement
- Note that the beds for the twin share rooms are on different levels within the same room offering you some privacy and are a great option for solo travellers
- You can also upgrade to a semi-private shared room, where you will have your own private bedroom and share a bathroom with another guest of the same gender


Yoga Retreat Start Days
- Arrival days are flexible as yoga classes run daily throughout the year so you can arrive any day that suits you
- Yoga holidays are for 7 nights/8 days 
- If you wish to stay for extra nights please email to check availability for your preferred duration and we will do our best to accommodate you
- All holidays are on request so please email us and we’ll check availability for your preferred day of arrival as quickly as possible


Yoga Holiday Itinerary
The itinerary is for guidance only and is subject to change depending on the group’s needs and wishes but is typically as follows:

Day 1
- Arrival day, check into your room anytime after 4pm and take your time to explore the retreat
- Your first restorative yoga and breath work class will be at 5pm
- Don’t worry if you arrive later than this, you’ll join the yoga class in the following morning instead
- After yoga, enjoy a delicious vegetarian buffet dinner at 6pm
- After dinner you will have time to relax and enjoy the steam room is open between 6pm and 9pm for your use, the meditation garden or take a walk by the sea
- At 7.30pm there will be an optional evening programme which typically consists of video lessons, satsang, meditation or simply a socialising evening with fellow guests


Days 2-7 (except Saturdays)
- 7am enjoy a morning herbal tea before your first yoga practice of the day, a sitting (meditation) practice of contemplation coupled with dedicated breath work practices
- Yoga classes start at 8am with Asana practice typically Ashtanga guided or Mysore style of yoga or a Hatha gentle flow style guided class depending on the group
- Between 10am and 1pm, enjoy a healthy brunch buffet with your fellow yogis 
- The afternoons are free to head to the beach, the local town, the meditation garden or just relax by the pool- Your evening restorative yoga and breath work class starts at 5pm for 1 hour 
- Enjoy a light snack and drink at 3pm
- The 5pm afternoon Restore session is guided by the teacher and is ideal to compliment your practice and a perfect way to end the day with relaxation and breathing. These afternoon restorative classes alternate throughout the week on themes of Gentle-flow, Yin Restorative, Hatha basics and Qigong. All involve a certain amount of breathwork practice
- After yoga, enjoy a dinner buffet from 6pm
- The steam room can also be booked between 6pm and 8pm for your use
- At 7.30pm there will be an optional evening programme which typically consists of video workshops in the yoga shala, satsang chanting, meditation or simply socialising with fellow guests
- Note: Saturdays are a rest day from the Ashtanga practice so on these mornings there will be a class devoted to chants, breath work and meditation starting at 8am followed by a conditioning and restorative asana class


Day 8
- Today is departure day and you’ll start the morning with an 8am yoga class followed by your farewell brunch (depending on your flight time)
- After brunch at 12 noon, check out returning feeling relaxed, restored and revived with the skills and knowledge to continue your practice back home


Where Will I Practise Yoga?
- Yoga is usually practiced in the yoga shala which looks out onto the tranquil mediation gardens, blue sky and turquoise sea
- The yoga shala offers 150m of space that can be divided up into smaller rooms for smaller groups
- Note: There is always at least 1 teacher for every 10 guests although groups may be combined in one room


About Your Yoga Teachers 
- The retreat has been operating since the mid 90’s and is run by a husband a wife team who are dedicated to healthy living
- All of the teachers have taken their advanced teacher training programme at the retreat
- Teachers are from all over the world and have practiced in their own countries as well as teaching at the retreat in Thailand under the guidance of owner Paul and his team of teacher trainers who themselves also teach across Europe, the USA and Asia 
- All yoga teachers are specifically taught to adapt the Ashtanga classes to complete beginners as well as more experienced levels
- Your tutors together bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of complementary health and wellbeing, asana, pranayama and meditation


What Will I Learn?
- All teachers will teach Ashtanga yoga however as a lot of the guests are new to Ashtanga, the teachers are specifically trained to teach a style that is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who are more experienced to ensure that everyone, whatever their level gets the most out of the classes 
- Morning sessions start with relaxation, limbering, asana work focusing on the breath and individuals needs
- The afternoon restorative classes alternate throughout the week on themes of gentle flow, yin, basic hatha and qigong. All involve a certain amount of breathwork practice
- The group sizes allow you to explore alignment within your pose as well as fluid movement from one pose to the next working with our teachers to deepen your practice whatever your level
- The teacher will give you one-to-one attention giving you the confidence to develop a home practice
- Note: even if you’ve never tried any of the different yoga styles taught by the different teachers before, the lessons will always start gently and will help you build your confidence during the week to deepen your practice and encourage you to develop your yoga skills during your stay


What To Bring
- Please bring comfortable clothing you can move in easily for your yoga practice
- It can be hot so please bring clothing that will be suitable for practicing in hot weather 
- Yoga mats are not provided so please bring your own or you can buy a mat from the yoga retreat shop on arrival if you prefer


Treatments / Massages
- Massages and wellness treatments are available and if you wish to book a treatment, the staff on reception can help you arrange treatments during your stay
- Treatments include Thai massage, reflexology, hot stone massages and more
- All treatments are paid for locally and prices are reasonable


The Accommodation And Wellness Centre
- The eco-friendly retreat has a total of 40 guest rooms set in beautiful gardens
- The retreat where you’ll stay is a unique blend of dedicated yoga retreat beautiful beach accommodation and wellness centre
- With guest houses nestled into the retreat and semi-private beach surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the retreat truly is an oasis of serenity and the perfect setting for your yoga and detox retreat
- Most rooms open up to a spectacular view over the sea or meditation garden, views may be more limited in some areas but all rooms benefit from a private balcony to look over the grounds of the retreat 
- The rooms are wonderfully spacious and decorated to high standards
- There are three room types available at the retreat:
- Standard twin rooms – these rooms are particularly good for sharing as they are set on 2 floors with one double bed downstairs and one double bed upstairs on a mezzanine level offering a degree of privacy for sharers, and you will both share a bathroom
- Private single rooms - if you are travelling solo, you can either share a standard twin room with another solo traveller of the same sex or choose to pay a supplement for your own private single room with a private bathroom
- Semi-private rooms - there are 6 new semi-private rooms available which offer 25 square meters of living space including a balcony, and a completely private bedroom with your own entrance. You will share a bathroom with another bedroom, making the room type semi-private
- Please see the ‘costing and extras’ tab if you wish to upgrade to a private single room or a semi-private room
- Rooms have a large writing desk, storage cabinet that can be locked and can accommodate laptops, there is also a kettle, refrigerator, two ceiling fans, and air conditioning
- There is a strong emphasis to keep eco-friendly standards using 100% natural non-bleach cotton sheets and towels, solar-powered hot water, mosquito screens for cross ventilation, energy-saving magnetic key card, low energy appliances, photo sensor light switches, low-flush water-saving toilet and rain water harvesting
- The retreat grows fruit trees and has a herb garden 
- At the retreat you will also find two wellness centres with treatment rooms and herbal steam room, wellness reception and lounge, a saltwater swimming pool, a restaurant that serves delicious vegetarian cuisine and a juice bar
- The wellness centres offer a number of detox and wellness programs for general health and wellbeing
- Daily maid service is included and free internet connection is available
- Accommodation is included for 7 nights / 8 days
- Check in anytime after 4pm on day 1 and check out by 12 noon on day 8

Meals
Brunch
- Brunch is included each morning and is served between 10am and 12noon
- Thai style brunch includes an extensive Thai vegetarian buffet including plenty of fresh fruits and juices
- Fresh water is provided
- Special diets will be catered for with advance notice, but please do request this at the time of booking

Dinner 
- Evening buffet meals are included each evening and are served at 6pm 
- Dinners will consist of typical vegetarian Thai dishes although twice per week, fresh local fish will be served alongside vegetarian options
- Note: No alcohol is served or permitted within the retreat 
- Fresh water is served with dinner although you can buy other soft drinks if required 
- If you have dietary requests these must be communicated to us at the time of booking

- Please note that this retreat has a rule of no smoking and no alcohol within the retreat


Free Time In Koh Samui
- During your free time enjoy the picturesque private beaches which are right on your doorstep
- Some guests may take a taxi to the nearest town (20 minutes away) to shop, visit bars and cafes and soak up Koh Samui life
- The reception desk will give you lots of information on what activities are on offer in the local area such as nature walks, boat trips, snorkelling, scuba diving and more


Visas
- Most nationalities need a visa to enter Thailand, which for UK Citizens are issued free of charge on arrival if the stay is less than 15 days although you should check exact visa requirements with the embassy as we cannot give visa advice
- Other nationalities should always check visa requirements with the embassy
