One Day French Cooking Course

Course itinerary

This one day French cooking course is ideal for both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ cooks everywhere. You will learn from an expert chef how to cook a typical French meal, personally designed by the chef, from appetiser to dessert promising not only a culinary experience but also a cultural one.

Set right in the heart of Paris, this is a hands-on cookery class, so don your apron and chef’s hat, roll up your sleeves and get ready to start cooking.

Once the menu is ready, you and your fellow would-be cooks will sit down with the professional chef to enjoy the delicious French food you have prepared.

Learn the know-how of a French chef in a friendly and relaxed environment and take home recipes that will suit all lifestyles.


Suitability
- Suitable for all from beginners to those with more experience cooking and an interest in true French cooking
- Minimum age 16
- Please note that this course is conducted primarily in French, translation to English is offered


Cooking Course Start Days
- Classes run from Wednesday to Friday


Cooking Class Schedule
- Your 3 hour cooking lesson starts at 10:30am and ends after you've eaten the meal you've learnt to prepare


What Will I Learn?
- How to cook a full French menu from appetizer to dessert
- The balancing of flavours
- Learn the harmony between food and wine

Sample Dishes
Menus change daily and use seasonal food but may include:
- Ballotine of salmon
- Soufflé glacé au Grand Marnier
- Various terrines
- Citron macaroons
- Risotto with almonds and cepés
- Chicken with asparagras
- Parmesan soufflé with tomato confit
- Whisky cocktail with vanilla cream
- Tartare of salmon
- Special 'canard' duck
- Carpaccio of beef
- Chocolate fondant
- Magret de canard with potatoes
- Tomato tart with olive oil and vanilla
- Langoustines
- Fish poisson with fresh vegetables


About the Chef
- Your Chef Olivier was influence first and foremost by his grandmother who sparked his passion for cooking as a young child
- After learning techniques from his grandmother, Chef Olivier went onto to study cooking at a school in Bordeaux
- After graduating, Chef Olivier went onto run his own restaurants across France
- Olivier's food has featured in many magazine articles and he has been interviewed several times for publications which include the New York Times, Tele Star, Bubble, and Advantages
