Included in the price

• A total of 5 cookery lessons spread across the week
• 3 of the cookery lessons start around 10am and finishing around 12 noon, the exact days of your cooking classes will be advised on arrival but are typically on days 2,3 and 6
• Note: You will be invited back into the kitchen before dinner service to finish off the cooking around 7pm for an hour so in total your cooking lessons last 3 hours each day
• A 4th morning cookery lesson learning to make picnic food before heading out for a barbeque at lunch time which usually takes place on day 7
• A 5th cooking lesson consisting of a full day starting with a fish market visit or visit to the fish quay to purchase ingredients followed by a cooking lesson learning to make bread as well as cooking the fish you’ve purchased that day, the exact day of the week depends on market day but is usually taken on day 4 of the holiday
• All cooking materials, apron and ingredients
• A continental buffet breakfast daily
• A light lunch daily with the exception of day 5 (which is a free day)
• A total of 5 evening meals with wine (1 evening is free to do as you wish for dinner) including 4 evening meals with wine eating what you’ve learned to cook during your cooking lessons
• Arrival dinner on day 1
• Farewell dinner on day 7
• Your own apron to take away with you
• Accommodation at the farmhouse in a twin/double room for 7 nights
• You can check in any time after 3pm on day 1 and check-out by noon on day 8
• Prices are based on two sharing in the accommodation, a single supplement applies for those travelling solo who wish to book a private single room
• Note: Shared single bunk rooms are available on request
• A free pick-up and drop off from Lagos train station (please advise arrival details)

School overview

Set on the edge of the beautiful Costa Vincentina National Park, 15 minutes north of the cosmopolitan harbour town of Lagos in Portugal, this rural farmhouse retreat runs both horse riding holidays and cookery holidays. The farmhouse stands in 50 acres of rolling hillside with wonderful views over Cape St Vincent, the most southerly point of Europe. Stay in one of the 4 simple rustic rooms in the farmhouse and either enjoy horse riding or cookery for a holiday with a difference.
