Whatever your level, your daily yoga classes are designed to leave you with the tools necessary to enrich and deepen your practice. Your sessions will also compliment your meditative nature walks exploring the empty hills and secluded bays and beaches of this stunning area of Turkey. 

This yoga course is focused on reconnecting you with nature and ensuring you enjoy the relaxing and beautiful surroundings of the Datça area.

Stay in a former olive press and practice yoga under the morning sun before heading off on a meditative walk.

Yoga Holiday Start Days
- This course starts on set dates
- Lessons will start the morning after your arrival day
- The package is for 7 nights / 8 days


What Will I Learn?
- You will learn about the basic principles of Hatha yoga
- You will practice pranayama (breathing exercises)
- Combined yoga lessons and breathing exercises are ideal preparation for your nature walks
- Most classes take place on the covered roof terrace or on the yoga platform in the garden depending on the weather
- For 4 of your days in Datça you will take part in nature walks leading to meditations in the empty hills, isolated bays and beaches of the surrounding area
- Each of the 4 walks will be to different destinations and be in various stages of ability
- You will also have a day to explore the pretty town of Datça


Your Yoga Teacher
- Your yoga teacher Seda is trained in Iyengar and Hatha yoga styles and will accompany you on most of your daily excursions
- Seda comes from Hatha and Iyengar traditions of yoga, and was introduced to Donna Holeman's principles of yoga by Sharon Matarazzo and Angelika Grohmann at Bodywise in London. She practiced Integral yoga with Sama Fabien who is the founder of Aurolab
- She studied Therevada Buddhism and Vipassana at Suan Mokhe in Thailand and Tibetan Buddhism with the renowned Lamas including H.H. Dalai Lama in Dharamasala, India
- She has completed her yoga teacher training at Sivananda Yoga Academy in Madurai Ashram in India. She obtained her certificate in Ayurvedic Massage and Panchakarma Therapy from Dr.M. Sathyanandan - S.M. Ayurveda, Panchakarma and Yoga Therapy Centre, Varkala and a Certificate in Kalari Massage from Dr.Shaji -E.P.V. Kalari Centre, Palai in India
- She has participated to some seminars and workshops to contribute to the Ayurvedic Healing Course with Dr. David Frawley, Vedic Institute in Holland
- She’s also done the Yoga and Anatomy and Yin Yoga intensive workshop with the revolutionary Yoga anatomy teacher Paul Grilley at Triyoga in London
- Your yoga instructors stay in the house with the group so you are guaranteed individual attention as and when required

 
Typical Daily Schedule
- 7:00-8:30 Morning yoga
- 8:30 Breakfast
- 10:00 Leave for the day’s destination
- 17:00 Return with time to relax and refresh
- 19:00 Dinner (note: 2 vegetarian meals included during the week, other meals can be arrange or taken outside at your leisure)


Accommodation
- Accommodation is included for 7 nights, from Sunday evening (check-in after 2pm) before the course starts on Monday morning to Sunday morning (check-out by 10am)
- Your room is located within the house which was once an Olive Press
- The house consists of 4 rooms, two twins and one triple share two bathrooms and one twin room has an en-suite
- Should there be more demand for the course, accommodation may be offered at the neighbouring bed and breakfast in a twin room with en-suite
- Wi-fi is available in the whole house and in some areas of the garden
- Your hosts have a dog and a cat. They are not allowed in the guest rooms

Single Travellers
- If you are travelling solo, you will share a room with someone of the same sex in either a twin or the triple room
- You can book a private room for a supplement subject to availability, if you would like to do this, please email with the date you require and we will check room availability for you

Travelling with others
- Two/Four people travelling together will be allocated a twin rooms to share
- Three will be allocated the triple room subject to availability or a twin room with one sharing with another single traveller

En-suite Rooms
- The en-suite room can be requested for a supplement subject to availability, if you wish to request this room please email with the date you require and we will check room availability for you


Meals
- Breakfast is included daily
- Twice during the week, vegetarian dinner is included (days to be confirmed on arrival)
- Please note that the food is largely vegetarian although fish may also be cooked and all food is fresh and seasonal
- Fresh water is included but all other drinks are extra
- If you have any specific dietary requirements, please enter these in the special requests box at the time of booking
- Datca has some cafes and bars within walking distance of the house serving local Turkish food and other dishes if you would like to eat out in the evenings or at lunch times during your stay
- Otherwise, the yoga centre has its own small cafe whre you can also buy food and drink if you prefer to stay at the centre

 
Yoga Equipment
- All equipment needed for yoga will be provided, including a mat
- Please wear comfortable clothes you can move easily in for your yoga classes
- Please bring suitable shoes for the nature walks

 
Free Time
- You will have plenty of time to kick back and relax by the beach, to visit the local area or to practice yoga on this learning holiday with a difference
- Datça is only tenuously attached to the Turkish mainland by a long, narrow ridge of mountains that fall into the sea, the area is almost entirely covered by National Park and is largely undeveloped and has only one town
- There are no large resort hotels or mass tourism, and even in summer you can be almost alone on the more secluded beaches
- The peninsular has six attended blue flag beaches, and the water is warm enough to swim from April to December


Visas
- Most nationalities need a visa to enter Turkey, which for EU citizens and UK Citizens can be purchased on arrival for approximately 10 Euros/£10
- Other nationalities should check visa requirements with the embassy
