French Cookery Course and Wine Weekend

Bordeaux Region, Bordeaux, France

Holiday itinerary

This remarkable chateau in the charming village of Bouliac dates back to 1852 and is surrounded by 7 acres of beautiful parkland.

Just 10 minutes from Bordeaux city centre, the chateau provides a fairytale setting to learn about famous French wine and cuisine whilst exploring all that enchanting Bordeaux has to offer.

The cookery school is housed in the chateau’s wonderful Orangerie. This former 19th century wine cellar now boasts a fully equipped professional kitchen, as well as a traditional bread oven and dining room, providing everything you’ll need for your French cookery course.

Suzanne, the warm and friendly owner of the chateau will also be your hostess and tutor. She has always been passionate about food and wine, having once managed a vineyard, and her enthusiasm will prove infectious as you learn to cook traditional, seasonal French food under her guidance. You’ll use produce from the chateau’s kitchen gardens to experience French cuisine at its freshest.

You’ll also get the chance to explore the wine industry that Bordeaux is famous for with a wine tasting session. Offering a market visit and a city tour as well as your wine and French cookery lessons, this 3 night/4 day French cooking holiday promises wonderful memories and a cultural experience as well as a gastronomic one.
