Painting Holiday

I had a great time with Helen and Andy on their Painting In Spain holiday booked through GoLearnTo. The booking process was straightforward with GoLearnTo and Helen and Andy carried that through to a fantastic and relaxing holiday. I'd definitely recommend it to someone travelling on their own - as I was. They even picked me up from the airport which made things a lot easier. If you have been thinking about it for months, or even years, and not been sure (as I was) just do it. I'm really glad that I did and I will be doing it again.

Helen and Andy are wonderful hosts. Their home is a beautiful, artistic, tranquil haven. The perfect retreat in which to relax and enjoy the many delights of delicious creative meals, drawing and painting. Alcala de los Gazules is a charming white village with stunning views to the mountains.

The course did not do what it said it would. It was described as a painting course in the national park. I was there for 9 days - but we only went painting in the national park for half an hour during the whole time. More than half the time was spent drawing with pencil. I had to ask to paint.

Overall an excellent experience! Andy and Helen are both great hosts - very friendly and welcoming! The art tuition from Andy was superb - I really learnt a lot and came away with a great art portfolio in such a short time. Helen's cooking was amazing! Highly recommended

Very professional setup. Accomodation and food was excellent. Both Helen and Andy are very professional hosts. Would recommend this course to anyone with an interest in learning to paint from absolute beginners to people who are experienced.

Excellent tuition which explained our mistakes to us and I feel I have really begun to have more confidence. You are both very welcoming hosts, the home cooked food was delicious, and the wine flowed. The accommodation was very comfortable; good hot showers, overall – an extremely enjoyable stay here. We were made to feel at home immediately and we were included in excursions and local drinks evenings.

The tuition was well-judged with a balance of support and challenge. A great range of opportunities for drawing and painting different subjects and lots of advice and guidance. I have learned a great deal in a week – just need to remember it now. I have gained in confidence as well as improving my skills. The food was excellent, well cooked and always beautifully presented. Lovely to have fresh salads and fruits so regularly. This week has exceeded my expectations in every way – and they were already high! A wonderful setting, great facilities and a host with the ability to put me at my ease and enjoy learning. Thank you Andy for a really great week.

A beautiful location and magnificently hosted. Tuition was organised and individual feed back encouraging and illuminating. A very enjoyable experience in every way.
