Painting Break

Not just any painting holiday but an all round great experience - expert tuition,wonderful food, sightseeing, eating out...I felt welcomed and...sounds a bit daft - cared for. Thank you David and Sally.

Great week, very relaxed gave instruction and felt very comfortable asking if I was stuck on something. Food was excellent.. Look forward to going again...

From the moment I arrived, being picked up at the airport by Sally, I was made to feel most welcome. Her husband David, was my tutor for the few days I was there and his patience and calm demenure helped bring out a long hidden talent in me. Sally's culinary skills were second to none. By the time I was leaving, I felt like one of the family. They live in a most beautiful area of France that is green and pretty. I cannot wait to go back there.

Thoroughly enjoyed the painting lessons with David, his encouragement has given me the zest to continue and improve the techniques he so patiently showed me. Sally made me so welcome and was so helpful even down to parking my car. The food was delicious and the company was great.

Was a lovely trip - David and Sally are very welcoming and warm. The food was delicious, accommodation simple but fine. Tuition was good - enjoyable experience; David is happy to let you draw or paint, and helps if you ask for it.

I had never travelled alone, from being met at the airport to returning 5days later,I was looked after by David & Sally. As an Asthma sufferer they made sure no one smoked near me. The food was great, as was the wine. David has a calming, professional approach to teaching.Thank you both love Tinax

The highly skilled tutor paints beautiful pictures s but there is not time to learn much in three days. The place is very informal with plenty of lovely home cooked food and local wine in a relaxed atmosphere with two nice dogs. Spectacular countryside and a very knowledgable guide. Quirky and fun.

Loved the food, wine and conversations - oh and the painting was alright too!!!! Thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope to be back.

Put in quite a few hours painting but managed to see some of the countryside too. Got some useful painting advice from David and enjoyed Sally's cooking.

I had a fantastic time with David and Sally. I only regret that it was so brief. It felt like a home from home right from the start: comfortable rooms, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, lots of lovely food and wine. David and Sally are great hosts and completely natural at making you feel at ease.

I had a wonderful experience. David is a gentle, experienced teacher equally at ease with total beginners or professional painters-I learned a lot from him. His wife Sally is the perfect host-efficient, kind and flexible.
