Horse Riding Holiday For Intermediate And Experienced Riders

I really enjoyed my riding holiday in Bergerac at Bourdil Blanc and would definitely return! We were quite a large group (10 riders) so it was a lot to manage but the organisation, horses and rides were excellent. The chateaux, scenery, paths and countryside were beautiful and the first rate picnics (salads, meats, cheese board, wine, tea + coffee!)were brought out to us every day to our lunch stop. All of the meals that we had were delicious plus we were joined for dinner by other guests who were staying at the house on any particular night so there was always a very easy going and social atmosphere. The weather was beautiful (if anything a little warm for riding but lovely and we had a long lunch to avoid the hottest part of the day) and each day the horses were hosed down and we jumped in the pool for a cool off. Jane is a lovely host and I would highly recommend the riding or other breaks that she offers at her beautiful house!

I had a fantastic week, there was only two of us on the holiday so we could opt for a shorter afternoon ride if so desired. We didn't really need any tuition on horse riding due to the experience we already had but our guide was very knowledgeable of the local area. Accommodation and was fantastic.

This was a really enjoyable holiday and my daughter and I had an amazing time. Jane was an outstanding hostess and the food and atmosphere were wonderful. If there were one observation it is that the pool was not cleaned on a daily basis.
