A genuine Taghazout surf-and-yoga retreat teaches two disciplines. It should show how surf ability is assessed and corrected, how yoga is taught and modified, and how the timetable avoids turning recovery into another compulsory performance.
The two-loop test
| Surf loop |
Yoga loop |
| Conditions and level assessment |
Named teacher, style and level |
| Coached attempts |
Guided practice and modifications |
| Specific feedback |
Teacher observation and adjustment |
| Changed second attempt |
Practice outcome or next-step cue |
| Unsuitable-condition alternative |
Optionality and load adjustment |
The strongest current evidence publishes six surf-coaching sessions within seven nights and two 90-minute yoga sessions daily. That makes the format research-worthy. It does not prove the assigned instructors, exact daily delivery or suitability for every traveller.
Balance matters more than volume
Two daily yoga sessions plus surfing can create a substantial physical load. Ask which sessions are optional, whether yoga changes after demanding surf conditions, and how complete beginners are grouped. A longer timetable is not automatically a better curriculum.
Confirm where both disciplines happen
The programme name may say Taghazout while the property or surf site sits elsewhere. Require the accommodation address, yoga venue, likely transfer range and daily surf location. Taghazout village, Taghazout Bay, Tamraght, Aourir and Anza should remain distinct.
