Whatever your level; choosing to combine a Spanish course in Seville, Spain with Flamenco dance lessons is the best way to accelerate your learning experience.

Immerse yourself in the local culture and take home two new skills that will stay with you long after your trip is over.

You will be taught by highly qualified native Spanish speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven teaching techniques.

In the afternoon, put on your dancing shoes and learn to dance to the fiery rhythm of Flamenco, in its birthplace of Seville, taught by highly qualified and passionate instructors, who not only teach but perform regularly.

Immerse yourself in the local culture and progress rapidly practising your new found language and dance skills in your free time.


Suitability
- Spanish courses are suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced
- Flamenco lessons are suitable for beginner to intermediate levels
- Minimum age 17


Start Days
- Classes start on selected Mondays throughout the year
- This course lasts for 2 weeks


Class Schedule
- Spanish language classes start at 9.15am-1pm each day
- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week
- You will have 4 group classes per day lasting 50 minutes each
- You will have a short break in the morning
- Flamenco lessons will be scheduled in the afternoon; times will be confirmed on arrival at the school
- Flamenco classes will be held at the Flamenco Museum, founded by the acclaimed Flameno dancer Cristina Hoyos which is located only a few minutes walk from the language school
- You will have 6 Flamenco lessons per week lasting 45 mins - 1.5 hours each
- Please note - if there are less than 4 students confirmed for the dance classes, you will receive 3 lessons per week instead of 6 lessons per week


What Will I Learn?
- The language lessons are highly interactive and you will speak Spanish from day 1, both inside and outside of the classroom, all lessons are in Spanish
- You’ll focus on the four main language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing
- In the dance lessons, you will learn about the different dance techniques Flamenco and most lessons will be in Spanish
- How to identify the various Flamenco rhythms
- Learn the different techniques of ‘palmas’ (hand clapping) and ‘taconeo’ (feet movement)
- You will learn traditional choreography from authentic Flamenco performers


How Will I Learn Spanish in Spain?
- Spanish courses are focused on having fun and classes are highly interactive
- You will focus on the four main Spanish language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening
- There will be individual and group work such as role plays and conversation practice
- You’ll also work on developing your grammar in practical contexts
- You will learn with a wide range of teaching aids; language text books, Spanish press, audio/video, Spanish songs or games and each week your linguistic skills are assessed to ensure you are always in the right group for your level
- Please note all Spanish courses will be held in the native language of Spanish even if you are a beginner; this is a proven teaching technique that will fully immerse you in the language and accelerate your learning experience


What Should I Wear For The Dance Lessons?
- Wear comfortable clothes that you can move easily in
- Wear shoes suitable for dancing, ideally with a sturdy, low heel


Free Time
- The school offers a host of cultural activities to help integrate you into the Spanish way of life
- During your free time you have the opportunity to take part in trips to other cities in Andalucia, Portugal and Morocco
- Typical optional activities include visits to museums and galleries, walking tours of Seville, movie screenings and much more
- You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax on this learning holiday with a difference


Spanish Language Level Test
- Please arrive at the school by 9am on your first day for a short level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level

Compulsory Extras
-Please note that this school charges a compulsory course enrolment fee; this is not included in the price and will be charged as an extra during the booking process
