From raw thuya to a polished piece
Thuya work begins with choosing and drying the wood. Artisans then shape, carve, inlay, sand and polish it. In a short class, you may safely try one or two stages with guidance. That is enough to appreciate how much skill sits inside the finished piece.

Why we have not named a host yet
Thuya woodworking belongs in Essaouira, but we have not found a current visitor class with a named craftsperson, tools and hands-on teaching time. Marketplace “hands-on” language is insufficient without the practitioner, tools, safety controls and exact what you do.
