An Essaouira surf lesson should begin with your level and the day’s conditions, not a fixed promise to stand up. The useful outcome is a safer, better-informed next attempt: board handling, positioning, paddling, pop-up timing or a specific improver goal.

Ask how much of the booking is normally active water time. Transfers, wetsuit fitting and waiting may be necessary, but they should not be described as coaching hours.
Essaouira Bay and nearby places such as Sidi Kaouki are different location decisions. If a school moves the lesson, it should explain where, why, how transport works and whether the alternative suits your level. A famous surf coast is not one uniform break.
