A short Chefchaouen weaving workshop can be useful without producing a large finished textile. The strongest current lead publishes roughly 90 minutes overall, about 30 minutes for terminology and loom practice, and a longer option for more substantial making.
| Stage | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Wool and loom orientation | Which materials and prepared stages are explained? |
| Demonstration | What does the artisan show before the learner starts? |
| Active weaving | How many minutes does each learner control the loom? |
| Correction | Can the artisan observe tension and repeat an action? |
| Output | What can realistically be retained at the chosen duration? |
A statement that one square metre takes about four hours is a useful boundary. It means the standard session should promise orientation and a small practised outcome, not silently imply a larger object.
Textile display and artisan interpretation can be valuable without being participant teaching. A class must give the learner an observable task and correction. Cooperative-development evidence helps explain local craft context but does not prove that a cooperative currently receives visitors or offers public workshops.
