Morocco can be a beautiful place to practise yoga: Atlantic mornings around Taghazout, garden settings near Marrakech and quieter rural stays beyond the cities. The view may help you breathe more slowly. It does not tell you whether the retreat is well taught.
Choose the teacher and timetable first. Admire the terrace second.

Retreat or hotel package?
A yoga retreat has a named teacher, defined style, teaching hours, level adaptations and a coherent progression. A hotel package may offer one or two drop-in classes around spa time. Both can be enjoyable, but they should not be compared as the same learning product.
Ask for the class schedule before judging the number of nights. A six-night retreat with four 45-minute sessions contains three hours of yoga. That may be enough for relaxation; it is not an intensive course.
Teacher, style and level
Confirm who teaches, their current qualification and which style they lead. “All levels” should mean the teacher can adapt for different bodies and experience—not that everybody receives the same sequence and beginners simply hope for the best.
Tell the organiser about injuries, pregnancy, recent surgery or health conditions before arrival. Yoga should not be presented as a cure. Responsible teachers describe practice, adaptation and boundaries rather than guaranteed transformation.
A sensible daily rhythm
Morning practice may be more energetic; evening sessions may focus on mobility, breath or recovery. A good timetable leaves room for meals, rest and any companion activity. Outdoor classes need shade, temperature and wind alternatives.
If the retreat includes surf, walking or fitness, compare the combined physical load. More sessions are not always more learning. A well-timed rest afternoon can be the most intelligent line in the programme.
Accommodation, meals and access
Find the exact property, room type and bathroom arrangement. Consider stairs, the practice surface and the walk between your room and the class space. “Near Taghazout” or “outside Marrakech” can cover a generous piece of map.
Request the food plan and explain any allergies or vegetarian or vegan needs. The programme should also show which drinks and snacks are included throughout the day.
the alcohol-free programme policy
GoLearnTo only considers programmes that are fully alcohol-free in the promoted retreat, property context, activities, events and inclusions. A class inside a venue whose hospitality offer conflicts with that boundary is outside scope.
This applies to the whole programme, not only what you personally order. Ask the host to confirm the accommodation, meals, activities and shared spaces before enquiring.
